Buttered Linguine With Parmesan

A simple dish to remind you of the 'FORGOTTEN FLAVOURS' of butter sauces because of increasing popularity of tomato and cream sauces for pasta.
Ingredients:
1/2 lb linguine (dry)
4 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
to taste salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Cook the pasta in boiling water to the desired degree of doneness.
2. Drain, but do not rinse.
3. Return to the pot.
4. Toss in the remaining ingredients and warm over low heat until the butter and cheese melts (about 1 minute).
5. Serve immediately as a side dish or entrée.
