Try this rich,buttery sauce over ice cream. or angel foood cake for a satisfying dessert.
Ingredients:
1/2c butter,cubed
3/4c sugar
1/4c lt. corn syrup
1c heavy whipping cream
1c chopped pecans,toasted
1/2tsp vanilla
vanilla ice cream
Directions:
1. In a large heavy saucepan cook butter over medium heat 4-6 mins or until golden brown. Stir in sugar and corn syrup;cook and stir for 2 mins. or until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat;gradually stir in the cream
2. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium. Cook until sauce begins to thicken. Remove from the heat. Stir in pecans and vanilla. Serve warm over ice cream. Yield: 2 cups
