BUTTER PECAN PUDDING CAKE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Woods Estate in Canton, Texas in 1988.
Ingredients:
1 package yellow cake mix
1 small box butter pecan instant pudding
4 eggs
1 cup water
1/4 cup oil
1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring
frosting
1-1/2 cups cold milk
1 package dream whip
1 package butter pecan instant pudding
1/3 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
1. Combine all cake ingredients and beat 4 minutes then pour in rectangular cake pan.
2. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes then cool in pan 10 minutes then remove from pan and cool.
3. Combine all frosting ingredients except pecans and blend and whip until soft peaks form.
4. Spread on top and sides of cake then sprinkle with pecans.
