Buffalo Chicken Wings

I'm fond of the fact that they aren't too, too tomatoey. This is pretty close to my brother's wing recipe!
Ingredients:
1 quart oil for frying, your choice
24 chicken wings, tip removed and cut at joints
4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
5 tablespoons hot pepper sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a large skillet OR deep fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Deep fry chicken wings until done, about 10 minutes.
3. Remove wings from skillet/deep fryer.
4. Drain on paper towels.
5. Melt butter in large skillet.
6. Stir in the vinegar and hot pepper sauce.
7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
8. Add cooked wings to sauce over low heat and stir to coat.
9. The longer the wings simmer in the sauce, the hotter they will become.
10. Serve warm.
