Brussels Sprouts And Cream

This recipe is adapted from a recipe on a bag of store-brand frozen brussels sprouts.
Ingredients:
1 pound bag frozen brussels sprouts
2 tbsp flour
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup cream
1 tspsalt
1/2 tsp ground thyme
1/4 cup bread crumbs
Directions:
1. Cook Brussels sprouts according to package directions or your preferred method, then drain if you added water. (I like to cook mine in the microwave in a shallow dish for about 12 minutes on high, turning the dish twice).
2. While the Brussels sprouts are cooking, stir together flour and water in a heavy saucepan until smooth.
3. Add cream, salt and thyme and bring to a boil, stirring constantly so it does not burn or stick!
4. Turn down heat and simmer gently until it thickens slightly.
5. Mix in the cooked Brussels sprouts.
6. Top with bread crumbs and serve at once.
