Brussels Sprouts and Bacon

Most requested for Thanksgiving Dinner Brussels sprout lovers, you will love this one. Even those that think they do not like them have changed their mind! Family Favorite If some of the sprouts look a little large cut them in half.
Ingredients:
2 (16 ounce) packages brussels sprouts
1 lb bacon
1 1/2 cups gruyere cheese
1 1/2-2 cups heavy cream
1 cup fresh breadcrumb, plus
1/4 cup fresh breadcrumb, for top (do not use boxed, dried)
1/2 teaspoon garlic granules or 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375. Butter baking dish. Grate the cheese. Bring sauce pan of water to a boil and add sprouts. partially cook the sprouts, remember they will finish cooking in the baking dish. Drain the sprouts. Cut up the bacon into small pieces and cook in a skillet until slightly crisp, remove and drain on paper towel. Discard the fat.
2. Season the sprouts and combine with bacon, grated cheese, cream and bread crumbs. Pur into buttered dish, sprinkle bread crumbs on top and bake for 20 minutes or until top is lightly browned.
3. Enjoy.
