Brownies (UK Version)

Light and soft brownie with lots of flavour. Easy to make.
Ingredients:
4 ounces butter
4 ounces soft brown sugar
4 ounces self-rising flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs
4 ounces chocolate, melted
3 ounces walnuts, chopped (optional)
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar.
2. Mix self-rising flour, and baking powder.
3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, with a tablespoon of the dry mixture.
4. Beat in the melted chocolate.
5. Fold in the remaining dry mixture.
6. Add the walnuts.
7. Place into a lined 7 inch square tin.
8. Bake in a preheated oven Gas 4 for 30-35 minutes.
9. Cut into squares when cooled.
