My mom used to make this all time. Wonderful on a spice cake! Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter |
2 cups confectioners' sugar |
2 tablespoons heavy cream |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
2 tablespoons hot water |
Directions:
1. Heat the butter in a saucepan over low heat until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the confectioners' sugar, cream, and vanilla extract. Add water, mixing vigorously until smooth. |
