Brown Sugar Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients, except water and vanilla in saucepan.
  2. Blend together over low heat until butter is melted.
  3. Turn up heat to medium.
  4. Slowly add boiling water, stirring constantly until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
