Good alternative to Rice Crispy Treats
Ingredients:
6 cups puffed brown rice
3 tbls flax seed oil
1 tbls honey
7 oz mini marshmallows
3 oz slivered almonds
1 1/2 oz dried cranberries
1 1/2 oz dried cherries
1 1/2 oz dried blueberries
Directions:
1. Lightly coat the inside of a 13 x 9 metal pan with oil
2. Spread puffed brown rice on a sheet pan and toast for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally
3. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
4. Place the oil, honey, and marshmallows over boiling water to melt
5. Quickly add remaining ingredients and rice to the melted mixture
6. Spread evenly into the pan, cool, slice into 24 squares, store in air tight container
