Brown Rice and Lentils

I found this recipe ages ago as a base for a vegetable stew. I have yet to get to the stew part. These two ingredients make a complete protein and I find it very satisfying. For breakfast, I love it heated with a bit of Splenda Brown Sugar, cinnamon, a dash of cayenne and a touch of butter.
Ingredients:
2 cups organic whole grain brown rice
1 cup organic green lentil
6 cups water
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Rinse the lentils and rice.
2. Add to water, olive oil and salt.
3. Bring to a boil.
4. Cover.
5. Reduce the heat to low.
6. Cook approximately 45 minutes.
7. Stir to fluff the mixture.
8. Serve.
