Great side with roast pork tenderloin, or grilled steaks.
Ingredients:
i/2 stick butter
1 cup long grain white rice (raw)
1 10 oz. can beef consomme ( not broth)
mushrooms, optional
Directions:
1. Melt butter in pyrex, or corningware dish,add rice.
2. Stir til butter is melted, rice is blended.
3. Add can of consomme, stir to blend.
4. Place lid on top, reduce heat to med. low.
5. Cook til all liquid is not visible on top of rice.
6. Leave lid on,turn off heat, let steam approx 5 min.
7. Add mushrooms at same time as consomme, if desired.
