This is a wonderful versitile recipe (LOL) That works well as a topping on grilled steak or baked potato and even on spaghetti. But an explaination is in order about the title of the recipe. I'll explain will typing the recipe. Read more . My brother really hates the smell of garlic. LOL Also just a note this is the way my Dad had me write this recipe before he passed away. Ingredients:
8oz mushrooms
garlic powder (enough to make annoying brother retreat to his room or to taste)
3 tb flour
salt to taste
1/2 c. unsalted butter
4-6 cloves minced garlic (to make above said brother leave the house and stay gone for awhile.)
Directions:
1. Clean and cut 8oz of mushrooms into equal size pieces. Place in a ziplock bag. Shoot laser like looks at brother then grin like a Cheshire cat. Sprinkle a lot of garlic powder onto the mushrooms; seal the bag and shake to coat. Look back at brother decide that he really is a jerk add another liberal shot of garlic powder and shake to coat again. Add flour and salt into bag containing mushrooms and shake to coat.; set aside.
2. In a large skillet melt 1/4c. of the butter over medium heat. Add mushrooms, make sure to leave the kitchen fan off so brother gets full benefit of smelling garlic. Continue cooking until mushrooms begin to brown lightly. Add remaining butter if needed. At this point my brother would retreat to his room. Depending on if he had really been a jerk towards the end of cooking time I would add 4-6 cloves of minced garlic and begin sauteeing those until tender. At this point I would see a blur go by and a motorcycle head down the street. Mission accomplished and the mushrooms are done and ready to be served.
