Brooklyn Botanic Garden Herb Bread (Bread Machine)

Beth Hensperger; 1 1/2 lb. loaf
Ingredients:
3/4 cup milk
1 large egg
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces
3 cups bread flour
1 tablespoon gluten
1 tablespoon caraway seed, crushed
1 teaspoon dried sage
1 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons fast rising yeast (or 2 1/2 t. bread machine yeast)
Directions:
1. Add all the ingredients to the pan according to the order in the manufacturer's directions.
2. Set crust on dark and program for the Basic cycle; press Start.
3. When the baking cycle ends, immediately remove the bread from the pan and place it on a rack.
4. Let cool to room temperature before slicing.
5. *This bread is great for stuffings.
