Broiled Swiss Sandwich

From a 1930s hand written cookbook. Hard boiled eggs, tomato; could be a lenten sandwich.
Ingredients:
2 slices bread
2 slices swiss cheese
2 slices tomatoes
salt
pepper
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 egg, hard boiled
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Directions:
1. Toast bread on one side.
2. Place toasted side down on a cookie sheet.
3. Cover with a slice of Swiss cheese.
4. Cover Swiss cheese with slice of tomato.
5. Salt and pepper to taste.
6. Brush with melted butter.
7. Put 1/2 of hard boiled egg on tomato, yolk side down.
8. Spread round white part of the egg with 1 tablespoon mayonnaise.
9. Broil until cheese is melted and mayonnaise is browned.
