Broccoli Salad

This salad is so good and almost healthy if you use some lo- cal mayo and some turkey bacon.
Ingredients:
broccoli salad
dressing
3/4 to 1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp. wine vinegar
salad mix
1 or more broccoli heads, cut into tiny florets
1/2 to 1 cup raisins ( or maybe dried cranberries)
3 to 10 slices of bacon, cut into one-inch pieces and fried crisp
1/3 to 1/2 cup finely chopped purple onion
1/2 cup celery diced (optional)
1/2 to 1 cup unsalted sunflower seeds (this is an option for me. you could add your favorite nut, if he doesnt mind).
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine broccoli, raisins, onions, sunflower seeds, and celery (if using)
2. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise , sugar and vinegar. Pour over broccoli mixture; toss to coat. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Just before serving,
3. sprinkle on bacon and toss. If bacon is cooked ahead of time, warm it in the microwave. NOTE: We like more than !/2 cup of celery in it.
4. often serve it with out bacon. We like it both ways.
5. I plump the raisins in hot water, then drain them before adding them.
6. Sugar can be adjusted to taste. I add less.
