Broccoli Salad

  1. Use scissors to cut bacon into small pieces and fry till crisp
  2. Drain on paper towels and set aside
  3. If using almonds, toast them now and set aside
  4. Cut broccoli into small florets, chop small stems and place in medium mixing bowl
  5. Add chopped onion, chopped pepper, cheese and dried fruit
  6. In small bowl mix mayo, sugar, and vinegar
  7. Add to broccoli mix and stir well to combine
  8. Add bacon and sunflower seeds or almonds and stir well.
  9. Chill for at least one hour.
