Broccoli Casserole

From The McClellanville Coast Seafood cookbook. This recipe is always requested for holidays by my family. Last Christmas, I added lump crabmeat.
Ingredients:
2 (10 ounce) packages broccoli, frozen
2 eggs
8 tablespoons butter
1 onion, small
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup cheese, grated
15 ritz crackers, crushed
1 lb crabmeat (optional)
Directions:
1. Cook broccoli until tender, drain. Combine eggs, butter, onion, soup, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper in a large casserole dish. Top with cheese and cracker crumbs and bake about 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
