Broccoli and Mushroom Casserole

This is a recipe that I was given by a friend more than 25 years ago. I am not sure about the origin but i modified it a bit over the years. This is a great side dish.
Ingredients:
2 (12 ounce) packages frozen chopped broccoli
1 (4 1/2 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups of pepperidge farm herbal seasoned stuffing mix
1 1/2 cups muenster cheese, shredded
cooking spray
Directions:
1. preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. cook brocolli according to package directions and drain well.
3. prepare stuffing according to package directions.
4. mix together brocolli, garlic, onion, soup, mushrooms, and one cup of cheese.
5. place brocolli mixture into sprayed 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
6. top with prepared stuffing.
7. sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup of cheese on top of stuffing.
8. bake covered for 40-45 minutes or until bubbly.
