A delightful cake, sweet and flavorful. Makes you feel like you're in France... Enjoy! :)
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 liter of milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 10 oz of pitted prunes
options: add apricots or nuts for variety/dust lightly with powdered sugar.
Directions:
1. Mix well all these ingredients, without the prunes.
2. Pre-heat oven.
3. Butter or oil a baking dish/loaf pan, then pour half of the preparation in there.
4. Lay out the prunes, then pour the other half of mixture on top.
5. Place in oven.
6. Bake at medium heat (350°F) for approximately 50 minutes.
7. Till golden brown, test with toothpick.
8. Serve warm or at room temperature with Coffee or Tea.
