Ingredients:
1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1/2 lb bacon, sliced
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (, 2 ounces)
1/4 cup sliced green onion
1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Spray 13 X 9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
3. Separate biscuit dough and arrange in rectangle on lightly floured surface.
4. Roll into 14X 10- inch rectangle.
5. Place in prepared dish; pat edges up sides of dish.
6. Bake 15 minutes.
7. Remove from oven and set aside.
8. Meanwhile, place bacon in single layer in large skillet; cook over medium heat until crisp.
9. Remove from skillet; drain on paper towels.
10. Crumble and set aside.
11. Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat.
12. Stir in flour, salt and black pepper until smooth.
13. Gradually stir in milk; cook and stir until thickened.
14. Stir in cheese until melted.
15. Spread sauce evenly over baked crust.
16. Arrange bacon, green onions and bell pepper over sauce.
17. Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
