This one is a great breakfast dish. I like to serve it on those mornings when you want to eat a lot but not cook . Make this one the night before, sleep in, get up, put it in the oven and enjoy!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
3 eggs, seperated
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
9 slice bread, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
3 cups (12 ounces)shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine butter, egg yolks, milk, mustard, salt and cayenne pepper.
2. Stir in bread cubes and cheese.
3. In another bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
4. Fold into bread mixture.
5. Pour into a greased 9-inch square baking dish.
6. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight.
7. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
8. Bake, uncovered, at 350* for 40-45 minutes .
9. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
