Bread Pudding With Vanilla Sauce

Comfort food at its best. Rich and flavorful with the tastes of brown sugar and cinnamon.
Ingredients:
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 3/4 cups milk (may use any milk from heavy cream to 2%)
4 cups cubed french brread
1 cup raisins
vanilla sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon ap flour
dash cinnamon
1 large egg
2 tablespoons butter
1 1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. For Pudding:
2. Combine first 4 ingredients; stir in butter and milk.
3. Gently stir in bread and raisins.
4. In large bowl, pour milk and egg mixture over bread.
5. Add raisins; stir gently to combine
6. Pour into a deep, buttered, 2-quart baking dish.
7. Bake at 375 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes, covering with foil after 30 minutes to prevent excessive browning.
8. Let pudding stand 10 minutes before serving warm with vanilla sauce
9. Vanilla Sauce:
10. Whisk first 7 ingredients in a heavy saucepan
11. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, 10-12 minutes or until thickened.
12. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla.
13. Serve warm over Bread Pudding.
