Bread Machine Italian Herb Bread 1

One pound bread machine loaf. This is for a machine that has a fast bake cycle. (less than an hour) For a regular 3-hour loaf check out my Italian Herb Bread II. It's a little different.
Ingredients:
1 cup plus 2 tbsp warm water
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp sugar
3 cups bread flour
2 1/2 tbsp bread machine yeast
1 egg
2 tbsp mixed italian herbs
Directions:
1. Put ingredients except for egg and herbs into the bread machine container in the order in which your bread machine suggests.
2. Make a well in the center for the yeast and poke a hole in one corner of the flour and insert one unbeaten egg, keeping it away from the yeast well.
3. Add yeast, if not already added and then sprinkle the herbs over the top.
4. Set to bake for a cycle that completes in about an hour.
5. This is for a Sunbeam Breadmaker and I have had no experience with other machines. However, I got the idea of this from a non-Sunbeam bread book and adapted to the Sunbeam. So easy!
