Ingredients:
6 oz water
1 package dry yeast
3/4 tsp salt, table
1 1/2 tbsp sugars, granulated
3 tbsp molasses
1 tbsp melted butter
1/2 cup 2% milk
1 cup whole wheat flour
3 1/2 cup unbleached all purpose flour
Directions:
1. mix warm water (110 degrees) and yeast
2. stir to dissolve the yeast
3. add 2 cup whole wheat flour, 1 cup all purpose flour, 1/2 cup milk, molasses, salt, sugar, and butter.
4. Mix and add hot water as needed.
5. Let set for 30 minutes
6. knead the dough for 10 minutes
7. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for one and one half hour at 80 - 85 degrees
8. Punch down
9. Let the dough rise for 30 minutes at 80 - 85 degrees
10. Place the dough in a buttered baking pan and let rise over the top of the bread pan (30 minutes) at 80 - 85 degrees
11. score the top of the bread dough
12. bake at 375 for 45 minutes
