Bran Muffins

I like to make this large batch and freeze them. Makes a good, quick breakfast. I'm working on decreasing the sugar, but it's really only a small amount of sugar per dozen muffins.
Ingredients:
2 cups white flour
2 cups wheat flour
2 cups whole oats
1 cup flax seed
2 teaspoons salt
4 tablespoons baking powder
1 cup sugar
5 cups bran buds (all bran cereal)
3 cups total cereal
1/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup molasses
5 cups skim milk
1 1/2 cups egg whites
1 cup applesauce
1 1/2 cups raisins (or assorted dried fruit)
Directions:
1. Combine dry ingredients, set aside. Combine cereal and milk and soak about 5 minutes.
2. Add egg whites, applesauce, oil, and molasses.
3. Add dry ingredients to cereal, mix until just blended.
4. Add raisins.
5. Bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes.
