Bran Fruit Loaf

This is from a box of Bran Cereal, I haven't tried it yet. The recipe says to serve it with butter or cream cheese.
Ingredients:
2 cups all-bran cereal
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup dates, chopped
1 cup dried apricot, chopped
150 g walnuts
1 cup self-rising flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 large egg, lightly beaten
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C Lightly grease and line a 10cm by 20cm loaf tin.
2. Combine first 7 ingredients in a medium bowl. Pour in milk, oil and egg and stir until well combined.
3. Spoon mixture into prepared tin and bake for 30 minutes. Cover with foil and bake for a further 15 to 20 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. rest in pan for 5 minutes before turning out.
