Use leftover syrup on waffles, pancakes, roasted bananas, or ice cream. Or add to iced tea along with fresh mint for a refreshing tea julep. You can purchase superfine sugar at the supermarket, or make your own by processing granulated sugar in a food processor until powdery.
Ingredients:
1 cup superfine sugar
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 cup water
1 cup bourbon
Directions:
1. Bring superfine sugar, brown sugar, and 1 cup water to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat; cook 10 minutes until reduced by half. Remove from heat, and stir in bourbon.
2. Note: For testing purposes only, we used Makers Mark Bourbon.
