Make several bouquet garnis, and freeze them in heavy-duty, zip-top plastic bags to keep an easy seasoning on hand. The flavor will stay fresh for up to one month.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon fresh marjoram leaves
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
1 tablespoon fresh oregano leaves
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh whole sage leaves
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh rosemary
3 cloves garlic, peeled and slightly crushed
2 bay leaves, halved
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients on an 8-inch square of cheesecloth; tie ends of cheesecloth securely. Add bouquet garni to soups, stews, or vegetables cooked in a small amount of water.
