BLT Restaurant Copycat Cheddar and Chive Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp shortening
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/4 cups cream

Directions:

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, salt and cayenne together.
  2. Cut shortening and butter into the flour but don't overwork — small butter pieces are fine.
  3. Toss in chives and cheddar.
  4. Toss in cream until it starts to come together but don't mix too much.
  5. Bake at 375°F for 15 - 17 minutes and serve with sea salted butter and maple syrup.
