Blender Batter Waffles/Pancakes

I haven't tried this, but I like the sound of it! I got it from the Simple Living message boards, but the poster said they just got it from somewhere on the internet. By the way- the rice, oats, groats, or whatever should be raw.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 egg
2 tablespoons olive oil or 2 tablespoons canola oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups brown rice or 1 1/2 cups rolled oats or 1 1/2 cups millet or 1 1/2 cups kamut or 1 1/2 cups buckwheat groats
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
Directions:
1. Blend the buttermilk, egg, vanilla, oil and grain in a blender or food processor for about 5 minutes or until completely blended.
2. Fold in the soda, salt, and baking powder.
3. Cook on a hot griddle as pancakes or bake in hot waffle iron for about 4 minutes.
4. Serve with maple syrup or fruit.
