A cute play on pigs in a blanket from Cooking Rocks! by Rachael Ray. My ds8 made these tonight as his weekly Saturday dinner contribution. It was very good. We used honey only on most of these as my family is not a fan of mustard but I am and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Ingredients:
11 ounces soft refrigerated breadstick dough (available in dairy case)
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons honey (just squirt it from the bottle)
3 tablespoons deli-style mustard (just squirt it from the bottle)
8 -12 slices honey-roasted ham (depending on number of breadsticks in package)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven according to directions on package of soft breadsticks.
2. Open breadsticks and separate. Pour the grated cheese onto a small plate. Dip each breadstick into parmesan cheese pressing lightly to make it stick.
3. Place breadsticks on a non-stick baking sheet and bake according to package directions and allow to cool slightly, 1 to 2 minutes.
4. Place a piece of ham on a flat surface and squirt honey and mustard or a combination of the two. Lay a breadstick on top and wrap up with the ham. Place seam side down. Repeat with remaining breadsticks.
