Blackberry Fruit Crisp

This is one of my favorite desserts during the summer when blackberries are so good (I use fresh). It's bursting with flavors and a definite crowd pleaser. Enjoy
Ingredients:
4 cups thawed blackberries
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup granulated sugar
1-1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated lemon peel
1/2 box plain yellow cake mix
1 stick butter melted
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Put fruit in medium size bowl and add lemon juice, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg and lemon peel then mix gently.
3. Pour into a greased square pan or casserole dish.
4. Sprinkle dry cake mix over top and drizzle with melted butter then sprinkle with chopped pecans.
5. Bake 45 minutes and serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
