Black Walnut Pound Cake With Frosting

This is a special cake because it is made with black walnuts. I've included a black walnut frosting to be used or not.
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3 cups cake flour or 3 cups plain flour
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla flavoring
1 tablespoon black walnut flavoring
1 cup black walnut, chopped
1/4 cup butter
4 ounces cream cheese
1 tablespoon black walnut flavoring
1 lb powdered sugar
1/2 cup black walnut, chopped
milk, if needed
Directions:
1. Oven at 325º F.
2. Cake:.
3. Cream butter and shortening.
4. Add sugar and cream together.
5. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each.
6. Add sour cream and mix together.
7. Add baking powder to flour.
8. Add to creamed mixture, alternating flour mixture and milk.
9. Add flavorings and mix well.
10. Mix in chopped black walnuts by hand.
11. Pour into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan.
12. Bake for 1 hour, turn down oven to 300ºF for 30 minutes more.
13. Remove and cool.
14. Frosting:.
15. Cream butter and cream cheese.
16. Add flavoring and powdered sugar.
17. Mix nuts in by hand. Mix well.
18. Put on cooled cake.
