BLACK POSSUM PIE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Morgan Estate in Austin, Texas in 1982. Another tried and true potluck favorite. I always take 2 of these, because 1 is never enough.
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup chopped pecans
8 ounces cream cheese softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup frozen whipped topping thawed
2 package instant chocolate pudding mixed with 3 cups milk
Directions:
1. Combine and spread flour, margarine and pecans in 9x13 pan.
2. Bake 10 minutes at 350 then cool completely.
3. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and whipped topping then spread over cooled crust.
4. Mix pudding mixed with milk over cream cheese mixture.
5. Top with whipped cream and chopped nuts.
