Black Olive Cilantro Dip

Potluck Favorite! The fresh herbs and vegetables in this recipe work well together. Each bite offers a new taste combination of flavors. Try it with homemade or your favorite brand of tortilla chips.
Ingredients:
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
2 cups drained canned chopped black olives
1 1/2 cups finely chopped green onion (approx 1 sml bunch)
1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/4 cup lime juice
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (i.e. tabasco or habenero sauce)
salt and pepper
tortilla chips
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, mix mayonnaise and sour cream together to blend.
2. Add olives, onions, cilantro, lime juice, garlic and hot pepper sauce.
3. Season with salt, pepper, and additional hot pepper sauce to taste.
4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until well chilled, at least 1 and up to 6 hrs.
5. Stir and serve with tortilla chips.
6. Recipe can be halved.
