Another Louisiana favorite....This is great with soups, stews, fresh veggies...
Ingredients:
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 beaten egg
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons oil
Directions:
1. Place oil in heavy skillet.
2. Shift dry ingredients into bowl; add egg and milk.
3. Mix well and pour into skillet; stir to mix in oil.
4. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes...
