Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. 1 PREHEAT oven to 350ºF. Prepare and bake
  2. Cake mix as directed on package in two
  3. Greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.
  4. Loosen layers from sides of pan with knife or
  5. Metal spatula. Cool 15 min.
  6. 2 STIR boiling water into dry jelly powder at
  7. Least 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add
  8. Cold water. Pierce cake layers with large fork
  9. At 1/2-inch intervals. Carefully pour half of the
  10. Jelly mixture over each cake layer. Refrigerate
  11. At least 3 hours.
  12. 3 MIX sour cream and icing sugar; gently stir
  13. In whipped topping. Dip one cake pan in warm
  14. Water 10 sec.; unmold onto serving plate.
  15. Spread with 1 cup of the whipped topping
  16. Mixture. Reserve a few cherries for garnish.
  17. Chop remaining cherries; sprinkle over cake.
  18. Unmold second cake layer; carefully place on
  19. First cake layer. Frost top and sides of cake
  20. With remaining whipped topping mixture.
  21. Drizzle with melted chocolate; garnish with
  22. Reserved cherries.
