Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Place a dutch oven or heavy pot over medium - high heat .
  2. Add the ground beef and onions and cook until beefe is browned.stirring frequently........
  3. Add the sausage, black-eyed peas, broth, diced tomatoes, and tomoatoes with chiles, green chiles, jalapenos and salt........ mix well
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat, cover tightly
  5. Simmer for 45 minutes............
  6. Serves 8....................
  7. Note......... can make ahead and refrigerate over night to allow the flavors to blend .........then reheat
