Our customers asked for a healthy smoothie-base that would specifically help them recover after a hard workout. We picked these items, each lending their own curative and anti-inflamatory properties. Together they make a sweet, tart sorbet with an amazing, beautiful ruby color. Great by its own right, it also makes a great base that you can use for a knockout smoothie. Try blending a few scoops of this with a banana and you'll be hooked for sure; and your body will thank you!
Ingredients:
1 kg mango
1/4 cup honey
1 beet
25 g ginger
20 g turmeric
2 tablespoons green tea
Directions:
1. Peel the mango,beet, ginger and tumeric. Grind the green tea (leaves and stems) to a fine powder. Mix together all ingredients and blend on high-speed until smooth. Mix in a ice-cream machine until slushy. Place in covered container and freeze overnight. Eat a scoop at a time as a tasty healthy snack or mix with fresh fruit(banana!) and berries for a killer healthy smoothie!
