Black Bean Burgers

Black beans combined with veggies and spices and baked to perfection!
Ingredients:
16 oz black beans, canned, drained and rinsed
1 green bell pepper
1 small onion
5 cloves garlic
2 egg whites
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tbsp. cumin
1 tbsp. salsa
3/4 cup bread crumbs
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Lightly spray a large cookie sheet.
3. Place black beans, egg whites, salsa and spices in blender and mix until smooth. Empty into medium bowl.
4. Place very coarsely chopped green pepper, onion, and whole pieces of garlic into blender. Pulse until finely chopped.
5. Combine the veggie mixture with the bean mixture.
6. Starting out with only 1/2 cup of bread crumbs, fold into mixture. Add the last 1/4 cup only as needed.
7. Scoop 1/3 cup of mixture and place on cookie sheet. I use a scraper/spatual to shape and flatten the patties.
8. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping not necessary.
9. Serve with cheese, sour cream and salsa.
