A friend of mine asked me for a birthday cake for his nephew. It was my first time. I thought the marshmallow decoration would be a new thing for decoration instead Of the usual colored icing glaze Ingredients:
1 box vanilla cake box |
filling and topping |
150 grams butter, softened |
240 grams powder sugar |
2 tsp hot water |
40 strawberries, sliced |
4 medium pineapple rings, drained and diced |
400 ml whipping cream |
4 tbsp powder sugar |
decoration |
1 pack miniature colored marshmallows |
1 pack chocolate smarties |
16 – 18 ice cream marshmallow cones. |
12 -14 blackberry jelly bites |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375F, grease a medium Teddy bear pan with butter, and sprinkle some flour all around. 2. Make cake as directed. Bake for 35-40 minutes, cool 5 minutes and invert on a wire rack. 3. Split horizontally in half. Take care it is so delicate and may crack. If so, don’t worry you will be able to gather it all again. 4. Beat the butter till creamy, add the sugar gradually and then add the water and beat again. 5. Spread the butter cream filling all over the top. Arrange the fruits evenly over it. 6. Top with the other cake half. If it was broken, try to arrange each peace over its similar one In the bottom half. Once all broken parts are gatherd, press lightly so all empty spaces and cracks disappear. 7. Whip the cream with the powder sugar and spread over the top and side. Trim the edges of the cake with a small knife and level the top. 8. Decorate using the marshmallows, smarties and jelly bites using your imagination. |
