This one of the first things I ever learned how to make without needing a written recipe. It's easy and always a hit! Ingredients:
1 box of your favorite chocolate cake mix. |
1 small can sweetened condensed milk |
1 jar of caramel ice cream topping |
1 heath or butterfinger bar |
1 container of cool whip |
Directions:
1. Bake the cake by following the directions on the box.
2. Place the candy bar in a plastic baggy and crush by using a rolling pin or bottom of a pan.
3. After you remove the cake from the oven, poke several holes using the handle of a wooden spoon. Let cool completely.
4. Pour the condensed milk and caramel over the cake.
5. Mix the crushed candy bar into the Cool Whip and spread over the cake.
6. Can be refrigerated for about a week and is quite good served chilled.
