This is my mom's recipe, it is so moist and delicious! I've yet to taste better!
Ingredients:
1/3 cup shortening
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 -3 smashed ripe bananas
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts (optional)
Directions:
1. Cream together shortening and sugars.
2. Add bananas and eggs.
3. Stir in flour, salt and soda.
4. Add milk, vanilla, and nuts.
5. Bake at 350°F for approximately 1 1/2 hours. Watch closely toward end of baking time. Insert toothpick to make sure center is done.
