Berry Syrup

This syrup is super easy and tastes great over pancakes, french toast, or ice cream. I like to use strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.
Ingredients:
2/3 cup water
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup berries (washed and sliced)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons lemon juice
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan combine water and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir in berries. Cook until the berries have mostly broken down, approximately 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and lemon juice. Enjoy.
