Ben And Jerrys Heath Bar Crunch Ice Cream

My Mom gave me a recipe book called Top Secret Recipes. It is chocked full of great copycat recipes, this one included.
Ingredients:
4 heath bars
2 cup heavy or whipping cream
2 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
1. Using a sharp knife, cut the candy bars into 1/2 to 1 inch chunks. You
2. should have about 1 cup. Place the chucks in a bowl, cover and freeze.
3. Whisk the egg in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, 1−2 minutes. Whisk in
4. the sugar, a little at a time, then continue to whisk until completely
5. blended, about 1 minute more. Pour in the cream, milk, vanilla, and whisk to
6. blend. Transfer the mixture to ice cream maker and freeze following
7. manufacturer's instructions.
8. After the ice cream stiffens (about 2 minutes before it is done) add the
9. candy, then continue freezing until the ice cream is ready.
10. Variation: COFFEE HEATH BAR CRUNCH:
11. Omit vanilla and substitute 3T good quality freeze−dried coffee. Add 2 T
12. coffee with the cream and milk, and add the remaining 1 T coffee with the
13. candy. (after the ice cream stiffens).
