Beer Battered Oven Fried Fish

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  2. Coat the bottom of a jelly roll or baking pan with vegetable oil.
  3. Combine flour, pepper, and garlic salt in a large bowl.
  4. Add beer and stir well.
  5. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  6. Gently fold egg whites into flour mixture.
  7. Combine breadcrumbs and parsley in a shallow dish.
  8. Dip one fish strip into the flour mixture and then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Repeat with the remaining fish strips.
  10. Lightly coat strips with cooking spray.
  11. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  12. Remove from oven.
  13. Preheat broiler.
  14. Broil the fish strips 1 minute or until tops are lightly browned.
