Beer Battered Fried Avocado Wedges |

I cooked my mother a birthday dinner and this was one of the appetizers. The theme for the dinner was avocado & seafood. Good combo!! Ingredients:
1 cup lager beer or ale |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 1/2 tap. paprika |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
2 lrg. avocados |
vegetable oil for frying |
salt as needed |
1 cup purchased salsa |
Directions:
1. To make batter: 2. whisk together beer, flour, paprika, and garlic until well blended. 3. Let this stand for 2 hours! 4. Peel avocados; cut into 6 wedges 5. Dredge wedges into reserved batter 6. Deep fry the wedges in HOT oil for 3 minutes. 7. Serve wegdes with salsa. |
