This filling can be made into dumpings or wontons. Baked, fried, steamed or boiled they are delish. And so tasty dipping sauce is optional.
Ingredients:
12 ounces lean ground beef
3 green onions
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons mirin
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 teaspoons cornstarch
60 wonton wrappers
Directions:
1. Finely mince green onions. Combine all filling ingredients squeezing to combine well.
2. Dip a finger in water and run it around the edge of your wrapper. Drop 1 1/2t of filling into the center of your wrapper and pinch closed. Place dumplings on baking sheet and cover with plastic wrap. (At this point the dumplings can be frozen and transferred to a plastic bag.)
3. Arrange a single layer of dumplings in a steamer basket and steam over boiling water for 7 minutes.
