Just another way to make a beef tenderloin. This is a very simple recipe that anyone can make. Pan frying the steaks allows them to get done in hardly any time at all. This also makes a very good salad if you slice up the meat and add your favorite greens.
Ingredients:
4 beef tenderloin steaks, cut 1 inch thick (about 1 pound)
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/3 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons blue cheese, crumbled
3 tablespoons walnuts, chopped and toasted
Directions:
1. Sprinkle both sides of steaks with garlic salt. Lightly coat a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Heat skillet over medium-high heat. Add steaks. Reduce heat to medium and cook to desired doneness, turning once. (Allow 10 to 11 minutes for medium rare or 12 to 13 minutes for medium.) Transfer steaks to a serving platter.
2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl stir together sour cream and blue cheese. Spoon sour cream mixture on top of steaks. Sprinkle with walnuts.
